LL.B., LL.M., Dr. iur (Wuhan with Frankfurt), National Distinguished Professor of Law. Prof. Tianbao serves as the Director of the Research Institute of Environmental Law and Chief Expert of the Institute of International Law and Global Governance at Wuhan University. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Environmental Law, Member and Vice Chair of the Compliance Committee of the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefits Sharing, Member of the Committee on Conflicts of Interest of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services and the Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Environment and Resources Law. He has headed or participated in drafting of several major national environmental bills. He is an Advisor for Chinese Delegations for negotiations on biodiversity, ocean and climate change issues. Currently, Prof. Tianbao is concentrating his research in law and policy concerning biodiversity and biosafety, water and ocean, climate change and energy, environment and health, and trans-boundary environmental issues.
